Introducing a new VOSD feature: voiceofsandiego.org/economy.

The amount of information on the economy nowadays can be dizzying. And it’s often so spread out — and mixed with national and international news — that it can be tough to put it all together into a cohesive narrative.

That’s why we’ve put one home page together to tell you what you need to know about how we got in this financial mess, where we are right now, and how we’re going to get out of it. We check in on the vitals of the local economy: housing, jobs, industry, government and education. And we keep an eye on local stimulus funding, detail the delicate local media infrastructure and bring you our latest related special reports and blogs.

So check out voiceofsandiego.org/economy and bookmark it as a central clearinghouse for what you need to know about the local economy.
