Monday, June 29, 2009 | As a former Disaster Recovery Public Assistance Officer with the California Emergency Management Agency, I am shocked and disappointed with Caltrans for brushing aside this critical problem! The way I see it, the accurate road closures notification list must be available at all times to first responders. Public health and safety and the protection of public and private facilities are dependent on response time. Having accurate information of shorter route(s) may save lives and properties. Caltrans should immediately identify the problem and correct it.
