The Morning Report
San Diego news and info
you need to take on the day.

School board President Shelia Jackson dropped an interesting tidbit last night: San Diego Unified is one of six school districts nationwide that will be audited by the federal government on their use of school stimulus funds. That’s one more reason why the school board was so worried about whether its plan to use stimulus money on keeping classes small at a select group of schools would pass muster under the detailed and sometimes confusing rules on how districts can use the federal dollars. Why was San Diego Unified chosen? I’ve put in a call to the U.S. Department of Education to find out more.
