There was a lot of befriending going on at Friendship Park two weeks ago when I went to document a group using sign language to communicate across the border.

Reporter Adrian Florido met Adrian Posadas, who he mentioned in his story and has since been corresponding with.

While those two were chatting away across the border, Fabian Brennecke, a German photojournalist, approached me with camera in hand and struck up a conversation. He was headed to Tijuana the next day and we chatted for a while.

I tell you all of this because Brennecke has been posting some fantastic photos on his blog from Tijuana. I’ll be fascinated to see what sort of final product he puts out as a story.

Do you know of any other great photographers working along the border? Do you yourself have some images you want to share? Shoot me an e-mail at sam.hodgson@voiceofsandiego.org or send me a message on Twitter and share them with our readers.
