As I said in my post Friday, I love photographing Border Field State Park as a place of contradiction. Where two worlds meet, but where two worlds divide.
That’s represented in these two images, which I made during a trip to the park last summer. Looking south, into a sea of people enjoying a warm day at the beach. And looking north, into a sea of emptiness, where the stigma of border sewage pollution keeps everyone away.
I’ll have more images from my four years of photographing Border Field State Park tomorrow.
