Since starting the Credentialed photo blog more than a year ago, I’ve been constantly grappling with what sort of information to include in this space.

Most photo blogs on the internet are targeted to other photographers. They often display personal work, show the outtakes from stories, ruminate about the business of photography and talk about the technical side of making pictures.

As this blog is targeted at everyone, both photographers and photo lovers, I’ve drawn a lot of inspiration from blogs like the New York Times’ Lens blog and the blog hosted by the Luceo photo collective. But I’m still trying to improve on hosting a blog that is tailor-fit to the needs and desires of our readers.

So I’m calling for ideas, suggestions, comments or criticisms about what you like about the Credentialed photo blog, what you think could be improved and what kind of content you’d like to see in this space.

Do you like outtakes from portrait shoots? Pretty pictures of iconic San Diego places? Would you like to see photo stories about people that unravel day-by-day in the blog? Do you have ideas about people or places I should profile?

This is your chance to let me know. Shoot me an e-mail at sam.hodgson@voiceofsandiego.org or leave a comment.
