A large swath of our decreasing Mission Bay coastline is being bulldozed along Sea World Drive. I hope this is not another expansion of the Sea World parking lot. If so, those behind this atrocity should be ashamed. It’s bad enough that we use the shore of San Diego bay along Harbor Island as a location for rental car facilities. Certainly, there have been a number of issues with Sea World over the years, like how much they pay the city and cutting off access for bikers and strollers from the waterfront. Is there another city that destroys its waterfront with such alacrity as San Diego?
