I have some objections to whatever it is VOSD is doing in today’s Morning Report.

First, there’s the negative innuendo on the San Diego Reader’s unassailable status as the city’s only truly alternative newspaper in relation to its publisher’s privately-held views.

Second, you put a link in the Morning Report to an unsubstantiated KPBS allegation that Reader publisher Jim Holman may be contributing once again to a Pro-Life parental notification ballot initiative. And third, there’s the MR’s hoary six-year-old link to a U-T story on Holman and his stewardship of the privately-held Reader.

None of this feels like straightforward journalism to me, nor does any of it have the stamp of original work from any voiceofsandiego.org reporter.

I think you can do a lot better than carry water for pro-choice organizations.
