|The financing of a new downtown Chargers stadium has been held up by two hurdles that were recently resolved: NFL labor strife and the future of government-sponsored redevelopment.|
|What Was Most Interesting|
|Those hurdles left their mark. It doesn’t appear the financing picture is any clearerthan it was when Mayor Jerry Sanders and the Chargers began talking about a downtown facility almost two years ago.|
|The current plan makes a domed stadium the centerpiece of a sports and entertainment district. That plan is competing against a standalone Convention Center expansion and a down economy.|
