I just moved here, been a lifelong dream. We moved into Golden Hill, and so far really like it.

The only thing I’ve noticed is the amount of dirt lots where there could be grass or other useful green space. How difficult is it to find out who owns empty or run-down lots and ask them to do something about it? I’d definitely be willing to volunteer time to do planting, building, landscaping, etc. (albeit very amateur-level work). Also, on B Street between 28th and 30th, there is a huge empty pit that I think has an exposed sewer grate, and seems to be where people discard their pets’ “waste.” This is not good.
