Padres owner John Moores plans to sell 49 percent of the team as part of a divorce settlement with his wife Becky, sources have told NBC 7/39, our media partner.

In February, Becky Moores filed for divorce after more than 44 years of marriage.
Two other San Diego families are considered potential owners: the Jacobs family of Qualcomm and another unconfirmed family.
