Immediately following my interview on Friday with zookeeper Ann Alfama, I had an amazing experience. She let me feed one of the elephants.
As the elephant pulled big bits of celery from my left hand, I kept my eye in the viewfinder. I can definitely say I had never seen this angle of an elephant before.
