The Biden dropout drama continues this week with Rep. Scott Peters calling for the president to exit the race. Will other local representatives join the call? The Voice of San Diego Podcast hosts take their turns speculating in this week’s episode.

In more local news, the city of San Diego is approaching full approval of two new sites for much-needed homeless services: a safe parking lot at H Barracks near the airport and a massive shelter at a Middletown warehouse at Kettner Boulevard and Vine Street. Yet after many closed sessions to discuss the plans, San Diegans are still largely in the dark.

Host Scott Lewis will explain what we do and don’t know as the City Council prepares to seal the deal on these pivotal projects.

Shifting over to county politics, Lewis will break down the Board of Supervisors’ decision to carve out a gaping exemption from vehicle miles travelled fees — a fundamental policy for reducing car emissions and an enemy of developers looking to build in the backcountry.

And finally, we’ll hand the soapbox over to reporter and amateur vexillologist Jakob McWhinney to explain all the reasons he thinks San Diego’s city flag is terrible, and why we should consider changing it.
