On this week’s show, our hosts unpack a new metric we’ve introduced to our annual A Parent’s Guide to San Diego Schools that reveals how well schools recovered, or didn’t, from the pandemic.

Reporter Jakob McWhinney explains on the show how some schools have recovered but many more are still struggling. He also explains San Diego Unified’s efforts to protect students from immigration actions promised by President Donald Trump.

Meanwhile, San Diego County experienced at least nine fires in the last week, and our hosts have some thoughts on the public discourse surrounding them.
