There might not be a more recognizable face in San Diego journalism than Michael Turko.

The titular host of “Turko Files” on KUSI News joined the podcast for a wide-ranging interview on his personal story (including briefly living on a reservation in South Dakota), how he first came up with his theatrical delivery (we got him to do his trademark “It’s not right!”), a lesson on how he crafts a story and his first public take on the proposal from the Citizens Stadium Advisory Group this week.

Also on the show, we break down that CSAG proposal in greater depth, which we covered extensively this week —including an estimate on how much it might cost taxpayers when it’s all said and done; we congratulate the San Diego Union Tribune on returning to its rightful name and we hand our Goat of the Week to the Metropolitan Water District for a well-meaning but problematic water-saving program.
