With over 40 years of experience navigating California’s State Capitol, Kellie Smith has played a central role in shaping and implementing the state’s critical energy policies. She served as Chief Consultant to the California State Assembly Utilities & Energy Committee, Chief Consultant to the California State Senate Committee on Energy, Utilities & Communications, and later as Special Assistant to the Speaker of the Assembly. In these roles, Kellie was integral in negotiating with Governors, the Senate, the Assembly, and stakeholders to advance the landmark policies that have made California a leader in energy innovation and environmental sustainability.
