Saturday, July 02, 2005 | The San Diego Surf Dawgs started the week of June 20 on the road playing the Surprise Fightin’ Falcons. The first game of the series resulted in a 7-1 loss on five errors, and saw Rickey Henderson go 1-for-4 with a stolen base. Seth Pietsch went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored, which helped the Dawgs come from behind to win the second game in the series 6-3. In the series finale, the team had to again rally from behind to win the game 8-7 in 11 innings.

Tami Rapozo, is a San Diego native who has written for several local publications. In 2001 she wrote “Keepers of the Faith,” a book on the San Diego Padres and their booster club the Madres.
