Friday, July 14, 2006 | Regarding “Peters’ Power Play,” I find the headline offensive, among other things. Scott Peters is not making a “power play” he is trying to do what is best for the city of San Diego and the taxpayers. Mike Aguirre is doing exactly the opposite. Mike Aguirre continues to waste millions on his strange pleadings to the court (which have all failed). Mike Aguirre is the main reason we don’t have the report from Kroll, and yet, he is going to investigate them? I bet they’re shaking in their gold plated boots.

The only people Mike Aguirre should be investigating in my judgment are his former law professors. Of course, outside counsel would be required should he decide to sue. By the way, has the city employed every law firm in town yet? We must be getting close.

The public (and the press) better wake up, I know we all like excitement to spice up our drab, wretched little lives, but at what cost? Kick Aguirre out of office and watch the Jerry Springer show.
