Two beaches with advisories posted earlier this week are back open: South Casa Beach in La Jolla and Moonlight Beach in Encinitas (near the Cottonwood Creek outlet).

The closure at the Mission Bay Visitor’s Center has been lifted and replaced with a no-swim advisory. A closure allows lifeguards to keep people out; an advisory means people swim at their own risk.
