Unsold inventory for the downtown condo resale market was down slightly this week, at 543 units. Downtown Realtor Lew Breeze pulled the data from the MLS today.

The average asking price for the week was down a bit, reaching $744,407. That’s a 6.33-percent decline from the beginning of the year. The trimmed average – with the fifteen highest and lowest listings removed – dropped a little more than $6,000 this week, to $682,996.

The median price was also lower, at $599,000, which is a year-to-date decline of nearly 8 percent.

Eighteen units were pending sale during the last 30 days, and 34 condos closed sale in that same period.

Also in that period, condos sold for an average of about 3 percent less than the sellers’ asking price.
