Thursday, Sept. 28, 2006 | I wonder: was Mayor Sanders elected to run this city to ease us out of a phenomenal pension debt, et al, or was he elected to get his picture in the paper and traipse around the country? Perhaps he was really elected by developers to work with and for them.
I cannot picture Sanders as governor of California. Although there is talk that certain developers could possibly put up the dough to get him that job. These folks, some named, others not, know they can control Sanders.
I do not have any doubts that the actual person running this so-called government is Ronne Froman, a retired Navy Admiral. Her butt is so firmly ensconced in the Mayor’s chair it will take a derrick to ever relocate her.
Don’t agree with me? OK. Well explain why Froman was explaining, in detail, the mayor’s “strategy to overcome San Diego’s dysfunction and lift it out of its financial morass.” She referred to it as “Basic Management 101.”
She was informing “local top executives” at the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce’s CEO roundtable last week.
Isn’t this one of Sander’s jobs? Instead, I believe he was shaking hands in San Francisco and having his picture taken.
As I heard in regards to his hiring of a “monitor”. Sanders’ monitor will be his scapegoat should things go wrong. As will be the case if Froman screws up.
Rots of ruck, Ronne.
