Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2006 | I’m beginning to feel sorry for reporter Daniel Strumpf. He seems to get all the premature obituary assignments at the voice.

First, he writes about Phil Paulsen, the principled opponent of the Soledad Christian cross, who – sadly, incredibly -may not live to see the outcome of his 18-year lawsuit to have that religious symbol removed from public land.

Now Strumpf writes about Democrat Francine Busby, who is running hard against carpetbagger Brian Bilbray to replace disgraced GOP Congressman Randy “Duke” Cunningham, as if Francine too were already six feet under.

Well, it ain’t over til it’s over, and in the meantime, somebody should give Daniel some editorial guidance.
