We’ve been talking about all the non-police and non-fire money that was going to flow into the committee named Police and Fire Fighters Against Proposition C, but we hadn’t actually seen the money spent.

That is, until now.

Looks like the national American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, or AFSCME, gave $44,000 to the committee on Oct. 26, according to the latest campaign filing.

AFSCME Local 127, which represents some city of San Diego workers, is understandably worried about losing jobs if Proposition C passes. And their counterparts nationwide think it’s a big enough deal that they chose to pull much-needed funds for congressional races and such to help kill the initiative here.

We’ll see how it goes.
