The San Diego County Regional Airport Authority meets Thursday, and its nine-member board is expected to take a position on state Sen. Christine Kehoe’s legislation that would make most of those nine ineligible to serve.
Kehoe, D-San Diego, has introduced legislation that would require all authority members to be elected officials. Just two of the nine members are elected. The bill would also strip three executive committee members of their $150,000 salaries, and trim the board from nine members down to seven.
So what will the authority say? This resolution leaves them room for one word.
On Thursday, they’ll fill in the blank.
The authority meets at 10 a.m.
