Thursday, March 8, 2007 | Senator Obama is a bright future star of this country, but it is absurd to think he is qualified to be president because he is charismatic and well spoken. If someone can tell me one thing he has done or been through that qualifies him for the job, I would like to hear about it.

The opposite of our current failed leadership and president is not a charismatic young man with no qualifications. Rather, it is a seasoned, smart veteran of Washington and world affairs who can make positive change actually happen. We need more than a candidate who can speak well about “hope” and other platitudes — even when what he is saying is correct. Being correct is not enough. We need someone who can do the job.
