This person is not paid what the electrician, or the crew who can dig up the street are paid. This is more efficient use of money. Let’s just go all the way and let Mayor Sanders check light bulbs himself. That’s the logic behind this “Most Efficient Organization,” the latest business Buzz phrase? Oh my God.
We have eliminated so many lower paying jobs (like auto messenger) and are paying people to run their own errands at a higher cost per hour. We give PowerPoint to engineers and accountants and expect them to be graphic designers, too.
And the lack of communication within the city on what’s happening is deafening, and demoralizing. Treat us like the decent human beings we all are, that’s how to get some respect.
