The Lincoln Club of San Diego, a conservative political group, will be hosting the first debate between the five candidates for city attorney on Tuesday, March 11 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Doubletree Hotel in Mission Valley.
A press release from the Lincoln Club states that all five candidates are confirmed for the debate. Those candidates are incumbent Mike Aguirre, Council President Scott Peters, Councilman Brian Maienschein, Judge Jan Goldsmith and local attorney Amy Lepine.
The debate will be moderated by radio host and former mayor Roger Hedgecock.
Here’s a quote, from the press release:
“The club’s primary goal for the 2008 Election is to prompt a thorough conversation about what is already a very exciting and far-from-clear primary season,” added T.J. Zane, the Club’s Executive Director. “We are very excited to provide our members, and members of the public, with this opportunity to hear directly from the candidates.”
