Earlier this year, I wrote this story about a tow truck company based in Vista that had some issues with a former employee who was working for them while still being employed by the Drug Enforcement Agency, one of Redline’s clients.

I just found out that the same company recently had its contract with the San Diego Sheriff’s Department suspended because of “accounting issues.”

Lt. Mike Cea, traffic services coordinator for the Sheriff’s Department, said the contract was suspended on June 9. He wouldn’t elaborate on the suspension, but said the department has a hearing scheduled with the company today.
