Local, state and federal fire protection officials are holding a press conference tomorrow to outline wildfire preparedness in the region as San Diego faces the onset of hot, dry Santa Ana winds.
Mayoral Spokeswoman Rachel Laing just e-mailed me to tell me that Mayor Jerry Sanders will use the event to outline his support for Proposition A, a ballot measure that will impose a parcel tax on county landowners to pay for increased fire protection.
The press conference will be held at Canyonside Community Park in Rancho Penñasquitos at 1:30 p.m.
