Hamid Daudana and Yogesh Bhakta just blew a hole in the theory that a historic turnout for Barack Obama will carry down the ballot to local City Council races.
Daudana and Bhakta are so excited about a Barack Obama presidency that they traveled down to Golden Hall from Tierrasanta to celebrate. “This is the happiest day of my life after eight years of George Bush,” said the 66-year-old Daudana.
Added the 35-year-old Bhakta: “It’s a historic night.”
But their love for Obama didn’t rub off on District 7 Democrat Marti Emerald. Both voted for April Boling.
“Just compare the credentials,” Daudana said. “Boling is a CPA (certified public accountant). Emerald is a newscaster.”
