Update: Councilman Carl DeMaio has now responded to COO Jay Goldstone’s memo with a memo of his own. “Councilmember DeMaio stands by his original assertion that shelving the new Downtown Library project will save $63 million in the general fund and the financial representations made in that memo,” his spokeswoman says.
