I went to Children’s Pool in La Jolla last night, hoping to capture images of yesterday’s 10-foot waves exploding against the old wall. I didn’t see any fireworks — the tide was out and the waves broke offshore.
Instead, I got this image of the seals asleep, and a storm-tossed ocean looking hazy through a long exposure. Del Mar glows in the distance.
Despite the thundering waves, I heard nary a peep from the seals, except for an occasional snort.
