When I saw Peters’ VOSD opinion piece, I called Diane Coombs, the longtime chair of C-3’s Waterfront Committee. She noted that during the time that Scott Peters served on the C-3 board, C-3 and its board consistently opposed any new proposals that would have blocked or reduced public access to the downtown bayfront. She said that the C-3 board is scheduling a special meeting to consider Peters’ request, and said she is disappointed that Peters is trying to misrepresent C-3’s long time policy positions on the downtown bayfront.
