My story Thursday explored why a prominent nonprofit in southeastern San Diego has received mixed reviews from the community recently. A task force of residents said it suffers from mission drift. Other residents are fed up with its board of directors.

Apart from checking out internal documents and tax forms, much of my research on the Coalition of Neighborhood Councils involved talking with residents — its membership. I called and emailed with people about the organization and its recent tension. They helped me explain what’s happening in the community.

But I’m still interested in hearing from more residents who are served by the organization. What do you think are the CNC’s challenges and how can it resolve them? Please share your experiences by commenting on this blog post or by sending an e-mail to keegan.kyle@voiceofsandiego.org.
