In this blog, Guide from the Inside, artist Dani Dodge shares the stories of the people she meets in studios, galleries and the street, as well as the people and institutions that support them. It is a behind-the-scenes look at the lives of artists in San Diego County.

Dani began to paint in 2004 after returning from Iraq where she was embedded as a journalist with the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force.  She now uses mixed media on canvas and paper to tell stories. A resident of North Park, her working studio is at Space 4 Art in East Village.
