After more than two decades of waiting, residents of Barrio Logan will finally get a long-promised development featuring apartments and the neighborhood’s first supermarket. On Friday, tractors moved ground on the long-vacant 6.8-acre lot at the base of the Coronado Bridge. The Mercado del Barrio Project is planned for completion next year.
