From the Reporter
The Story
A consultant hired for $160,000 to develop a Chargers stadium financing plan finished his work 10 months ago without producing the report that city leaders had promised.
What I Found Most Interesting
Even though nearly every statement from the city and Chargers about the stadium makes headlines, it’s clear that no major financing decisions will happen until the NFL’s labor situation and fate of statewide redevelopment is resolved.
What’s Next
The Mayor’s Office expects its consultant, Mitchell Ziets, will return to the city once there is more clarity from the NFL and state.
