David Flores, one of the speakers at our Meeting of the Minds event, will be hosting a talk tonight about Casa Familiar’s community development work in San Ysidro.

The talk happens tonight from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at The Salon, the renovated church where the organization’s MoMitA exhibit is on display. (That’s at 114 W. Hall Avenue in San Ysidro.)

Here’s Flores’ presentation from our recent roundup of buzzing happenings in local arts and culture:

If you can’t make the talk tonight, you can check out the exhibition during gallery hours, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. You can set up a group tour by calling Leticia Gomez at 619.428.1115.

And Flores and I have also talked about putting together a VOSD group field trip — let me know if you’d be interested in that.

Here’s another peek at some of the pieces on display from our Behind the Scene TV clip last month:

I am the arts editor for VOSD. You can reach me directly at kelly.bennett@voiceofsandiego.org or 619.325.0531. Or you can keep up with me on Twitter @kellyrbennett or on Facebook.
