Fletcher hired Amy Thoma, who’s best known as a Republican campaign strategist, to serve as a committee consultant in Sacramento. But also, as I told NBC, no one should be naïve enough to think that the work done in elected officials’ offices doesn’t directly benefit their next campaign. Here’s the NBC spot, which also features Democratic political strategist Larry Remer.
