Proponents mistakenly asserted in a fact sheet that the measure would impose strict limits on pensionable compensation. Evan McLaughlin, political director of the San Diego-Imperial Counties Labor Council, incorrectly claimed that proponents inflated cost savings by including a pension benefit that have already been eliminated.
