This edition of Fact Check TV in partnership with NBC7 San Diego examines claims by county Supervisor Dianne Jacob and Congressman Bob Filner, who is running for mayor. Jacob accurately described how much some backcountry residents already pay for fire and emergency services as the state moves toward charging them more. Filner falsely claimed to have attended the last 10 State of the City speeches and said he only heard Mexico mentioned once. Filner didn’t go to all the speeches and the current mayor, Jerry Sanders, has mentioned Mexico in four of his six speeches.
