I headed out the other night to a dress rehearsal of Adjacent Possible, a multimedia performance scheduled for 8:45 p.m on Saturday at Space 4 Art, the artist collective in East Village. It’s part of the ArtLabs component of this weekend’s Art San Diego Contemporary Art Fair.

While I was only able to hang around for a quick portion of the performance, it was really exciting to see the psychedelic shadow-box dancing and hear the trippy sounds the musicians were creating. And it’s fascinating to see it all come alive in East Village, a neighborhood that’s actively trying to define itself.
