This edition of Fact Check TV in partnership with NBC 7 San Diego examines a bold claim by Nathan Fletcher, one of four high-profile candidates for mayor.
Fletcher said a wedding in a city park could require nine different permits. Though technically possible, we found the wedding would be a fantastical event far beyond the pocketbooks of most couples. Some permits cited by Fletcher’s campaign are more often requested for festivals than weddings and guests would be charged admission to attend.
