The Issue
The Utility Consumers’ Action Network, a local watchdog, filed to start the process of dissolving Tuesday, a move that could leave San Diego without an influential advocate.
What It Faces
The FBI is investigating and has subpoenaed many of UCAN’s financial records. Internal whistleblowers have also alleged wrongdoing.
The Big Picture
UCAN’s executive director says the complaints have been investigated and cleared. The whistleblowers say investigations were insufficient and little more than a cover up.
