In the latest edition of VOSD Radio, Will Carless and Scott Lewis break down our investigation into school bond campaigns by Carless and NBC 7 San Diego reporter Wendy Fry and why folks should pay attention to the issue.

They also parse the “Week in Bob,” including Mayor Bob Filner’s surprise appearance at City Attorney Jan Goldsmith’s press conference and the awkward moments that ensued. The underlying issue involves who is paying a hotel-room charge.

Two new features were introduced on the show, too:

• Number of the Week: The amount in new school bonds voters signed off on for San Diego County school districts in 2012 was $3.5 billion. On the air, Carless mistakenly said that figure was $4.5 billion.

• Press Release of the Week: “Tired Mom Invents Pill That May Replace the Morning Alarm Clock.”

Plus, find out why VOSD Radio named Alpha Project Director Bob McElroy as Hero of the Week and county sheriff’s department spokeswoman Jan Caldwell as Goat of the Week. Listen here.
