San Diego leaders want the city to be more bikeable and walkable.

City Council President Todd Gloria is among the chief proponents of that goal.

In the latest edition of Fact Check TV, I vetted Gloria’s recent claim that 40 percent of vehicle trips are two miles are less.

Gloria used the statistic to emphasize the ease with which San Diegans could forgo their gas-guzzling vehicles in favor of bicycles.

I also highlighted our effort to track Mayor Bob Filner’s campaign promises.
