No, you’re not experiencing a case of Déjà vu.

San Diego County is, yet again, down another supervisor. Last month, County Supervisor Nora Vargas announced she would not take the oath of office for her re-election, and that she will leave this month when her term is up. This news comes mere months after former mayor Kevin Faulconer lost a costly battle against Supervisor Terra Lawson-Remer.

It’s safe to say that local politicos were shook.

On the latest episode, hosts Scott Lewis, Andrea Lopez-Villafaña and Bella Ross explain what’s at stake. The county has some BIG issues on its to-do list, and once again the supervisors are split (two Democrats and two Republicans).

Candidates are already lining up for the job. Our hosts explain what could happen.

Also on the show, our Lisa Halverstadt revealed that the city of San Diego’s housing agency is putting a indefinite pause on project-based housing vouchers. That will impact the financing for some affordable housing projects and how many get built for some of the city’s most low-income residents.
