Thursday, June 8, 2006 | Mr. Davis, I’ve just read your article on the conflict between the Airport Regional Authority group and the Marines at Miramar MAS. It is my opinion that these constant and continuous “studies” concerning where to put a new, unneeded airport for San Diego are a waste of time and money. Travelers can just fly over to Phoenix, change planes and fly on. Air traffic is down at Lindbergh. The Marines need Miramar more than travelers do.

I suggest that, as always, it would behoove citizens to “follow the money” and look closely at just who is going to gain financially if this fiasco comes to pass. They’re not doing it for their health, and I don’t believe they’re doing it for the betterment of San Diego either.
