Monday, June 12, 2006 | It is over ten years since the Cold War ended. Yet San Diego County is still occupied by the United States Armed Forces. The United States Navy and Marine Corps insist on maintaining several bases here.

We have a right to our independent identity; and geopolitical neutrality.

It is time to demand that our sovereignty be respected.

We must accept nothing less than the immediate, unconditional withdrawal of all U.S. Armed Forces from San Diego. Let them return to their own soil!
