Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2006 | While this may be old news to some, it could be a new revelation to others. Specifically, at a planning group meeting Monday evening, Sept. 18th, Jim Madaffer’s response to a question about the Kroll interview included the fact that he was not sworn in and therefore, his responses were not under oath or penalty of perjury. Further, there was no court reporter present and thus, no transcript of his testimony or presumably, of any other witnesses is available for review. All we have is the hearsay notes from the Audit Committee interviewers which makes the Kroll Report much more useless than originally suspected. The $20.3 million got us nothing more than the impressions of the committee members who asked the questions. Thus, if you thought we got something for our money, think again. We got Krolled.
